My name is Daniel R. Bendig and as an experienced consultant and investor I want to help you tackle the unique needs of your business and create an actionable plan for growth.

I have spent the majority of my career seeking to inform Fortune 500 companies and private equity investors on the optimal strategy for their business and investment opportunities.

For three years, I was a leading member of the corporate strategy and development team at JLL, a Fortune 500 company. While there my team and I were focused on growing the company via acquisitions and new business development.

Engagements of note include:

  • JLL/HFF Merger - Post Merger Integration:

    • For this industry leading $1.8 billion merger I helped lead a cross functional team in the effort to identify and secure nearly $60 million in synergies. This work involved extensive review of both companies operations and financial performance to determine the appropriate recommendation which would achieve the overall synergies and result in minimal day-to-day operational disruptions.

  • Flex Business Line - Growth Strategy:

    • This work was a critical response to the growing need for flexible office and co-working space and required an intensive market sizing build out and robust go-to-market strategy for the initial roll out of the new service line. I worked directly with the new business CEO to generate our business proposal which was approved and the business line is now a fundamental part of the JLL offering and an essential evolution within the broader real estate market.

For the last two years I have worked as a consultant for premier private equity firms advising them during their due diligence process to determine recommendations on potential middle market investments. I have worked across industries with a particular focus on tech and consumer products.

Engagements of note include:

  • Medical Device - Sell Side Advisory:

    • Conducted robust analysis amongst consumers and vendors to determine value proposition of the target firm in the market. Using this information I led the team in ranking the target amongst peers, highlighting potential risk areas and preparing the company on a mitigation strategy to pursue ahead of a sale to new investors.

  • B2B Software - Market Sizing & Growth Strategy:

    • Analyzed a point solution software provider to determine the market size within their specific segment of the market as well as for adjacent areas to determine largest areas of opportunity. Proceeded to build out growth strategy for expanding into the most appealing adjacencies which included acquisition and new development strategies.

  • Consumer Goods - Sell Side Advisory:

    • Built out a comprehensive market size which included analysis for a core business segment within the defense sector and required exceptionally resourceful analysis given limited publicly available data sources.

  • Third Party Logistics Vendor - Growth Strategy:

    • Created extensive market research amongst competitors and adjacent vendors to determine appropriate industry benchmarks and ranked target firm to determine position within the space. Leveraged this data to gauge viability of proposed growth strategy and provide recommendations for additional acquisitions to bolster capabilities.

In addition to my work experience, I earned my MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. While there I focused on finance and strategy to help broaden my skillset and sharpen my business acumen. The lessons learned there have proven to be an exceptional tool in my consulting skillset and which I know can help you accelerate your growth.
